Enter the V ersaHANDLER and perform the PRE-
STARTING PROCEDURE. (See V ersaHANDLER
Operation and Maintenance Manual for this procedure.)
Fasten the seat belt, st art the engine and disengage the
parking brake.

Drive the V ersaHANDLER forward until the mounting
hooks (Item 1) are under the Silage Defacer mounting
frame top tube (Item 2) [Figure OI-3].

If performing any type of service work with the boom

accidental and unwanted movement of the boom and

Adjust the motor until the chain (Item 1) [Figure PM-11]
P-42551 has approximately 0.250 inch (6,4 mm) of deflection.
Tighten the adjustment bolt s, reinstall the chain cover
Loosen the nut s (Item 1) and remove the chain cover and tighten the chain cover nuts.
