PREPARING FOR ASSEMBLY
Preparation
Prepare the vehicle
1. Place the machine on a flat and level place.
2. Rotate to left-hand of 90° the upper-structure.
3. Lower the bucket to the ground.
4. Put the safety lever in UNLOCK position (forward posi-
tion).
5. Release the hydraulic pressure operating the control
levers from right-hand to left-hand and front to rear a
dozen times approximately.
6. Operate the travel levers from front to rear a dozen
times approximately.

NOTE: this procedure does not completely release the
pressure, so when operate on the hydraulic system, loosen
the connections slowly and do not stand in the direction
where the oil drains out.
7. Put the safety lever in LOCK position (backward posi-
tion).
8. Stop the engine and remove the starter key.

Installation of the boom hoses
1. Slide the hoses (4) through the new rubber clamp (22).
2. Use the wrench [ 19 mm] to install the hoses (4) on the
terminal assembly (5).
Tighten the hoses (4) to:
36 – 44 N·m (26.6 – 32.5 lb ft)
3. Install the band harness (27) to retain the hoses of the
boom where necessary.

Installation of the dipper hoses
1. Install the clamps (15) to secure the hoses to the boom
arm.
2. Use the wrench [ 19 mm] to install the two ends of the
hoses (19) on the terminal assembly (5).
Tighten the hoses (19) to:
36 – 44 N·m (26.6 – 32.5 lb ft)

FINAL-CHECK
Final check
The hydraulic quick coupling system activation switch (23)
is used to engage or disengage the hydraulic quick cou-
pling system.
This switch has a sliding mechanism (A) for preventing
erroneous switch operation. Slide the sliding mechanism
(A) in the direction of the arrow to unlock the device.
The buzzer sounds when the hydraulic quick coupling sys-
tem switch is pressed to disengage the moving hook. The
buzzer stops when the switch is released to engage the
moving hook.
After installation of the quick coupler kit check the oil level SMIL16MEX3181AA 1
in the reservoir tank and refill it if necessary. Follow the
next steps to verify the correct functionality and leakage:
1. Start the engine.
2. Slide the switch mechanism, then press and hold the
hydraulic quick coupling switch (23) in release posi-
tion.
3. Operate the hand control lever in dozer-up position.
4. Check that the hose (4) is full of hydraulic oil (the hose
(4) must be rigid).
5. Release the switch (23).

Montage des Schnellkupplungsschalters
1. Entfernen Sie die beiden Schrauben (L) mit einem
Schraubendreher von der Abdeckung (M) und entfer-
nen Sie die Platte (N).

2. Verwenden Sie einen SchraubenschlĂĽssel [ 17 mm]
zum Entfernen der beiden Schrauben (O) und entfer-
nen Sie dann die Armlehne (P) von der linken Konsole
(T).
3. Schrauben Sie den Knopf (Q) des Motordrehzahlhe-
bels ab und entfernen Sie ihn.
4. Entfernen Sie die Schraube (R) mit einem Schrauben-
dreher von der Abdeckung.
5. Entfernen Sie die Schrauben (S), mit denen die linke
Konsole (T) befestigt ist, mit einem Schraubendreher.

6. Heben Sie die linke Konsole (T) an, entfernen Sie die
Schutzkappe von ihr und bauen Sie den Schnellkup-
plungsschalter (23) ein.
7. SchlieĂźen Sie den elektrischen Steckverbinder CS-67
an den Schnellkupplungsschalter an.

Les indications de direction vers la droite et vers la gauche s'entendent depuis l'arrière de la machine, dans le
sens de la marche.
REMARQUE: Les chiffres indiqués pour faire référence aux légendes dans les instructions (par exemple (1)) se
réfèrent à l'élément (1) dans la liste de contenu du kit. Les lettres (par exemple : (A)) se réfèrent aux composants de
la machine et non aux composants fournis dans le kit.
AVIS: Ne pas serrer le matériel avant d'y avoir été invité dans les instructions de montage.
AVIS: S'assurer d'utiliser le matériel spécifié pour les trous taraudés ; en effet, il est possible d'endommager les
filetages si vous essayez d'installer un boulon métrique dans un filetage en pouces ou un boulon en pouces dans un
filetage métrique.
REMARQUE: Installer des rondelles plates sur toutes les fentes, sauf si des boulons à tête bombée sont utilisés.
Poser une rondelle frein sur tous les boulons, sauf si un contre-écrou ou un écrou autofreiné est spécifié.
REMARQUE: Installer des rondelles trempées spéciales lorsque les instructions le précisent.

2. Utiliser une clé [ 19 mm] pour poser le raccord en T
(14) sur l’orifice « C1 » de la vanne B de bloc.
Serrer le raccord en T (14) Ă :
33 – 40 N·m (24.3 – 29.5 lb ft)
3. Poser le flexible (E) sur le raccord en T (14).
Serrer le flexible (E) au couple de :
36 – 44 N·m (26.6 – 32.5 lb ft)

4. Utiliser la clé de [ 19 mm] pour connecter l’autre extré-
mité du flexible (2) sur l’orifice « C1 » de la vanne B de
bloc de raccord.
Serrer l’extrémité du flexible (2) à :
36 – 44 N·m (26.6 – 32.5 lb ft)
